Benefits available for the scheme

Under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana a cash incentive of ₹5000 is given in three installments –

  • First installment – ​​₹1000/- on early registration of pregnancy at an Anganwadi Center (AWC) / approved health facility.
  • Second installment – ​​₹2000/- At least one antenatal checkup (ANC) is received after six months of pregnancy.
